Lok Sabha Elections: Confident Of Defeating BJP, INDIA Bloc Likely To Hold Key Meet Ahead Of Results

Top leaders of the opposition bloc 'INDIA' are likely to meet on June 1, the Lok Sabha election Phase 7 or last phase voting day, to ass𒅌ess their performance in the polls and chalk out their strategy ahead of the counting of votes taking place on June 4.

However, TMC has s🤪aid it will not attend the INDIA-bloc's meet schedu🍷led on June 1 in Delhi.

Sources cited in a news agency PTI report said the proposed meeting will be convened in Delhi on the afternoon of June 1 when the last⛄ phase of polling will be uꦏnderway.

The opposition leaders will discuss their strategy ahead of the June 4 results and assess their performance in the seven-phase elections, the above mentioned sourc☂e🧸s said.

Several top opposition parties came under an alliance in Juဣly last year and named it INDIA - Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance - with a common aim of taking on the Narendra Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) dispensation at the Centre and states.

While 28 opposition parties came together to form the INDIA bloc, some parties such as Nitish Kumar's Janata D🐈al (United) and the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) later switched over to the NDA.

The opposition alliance has been claiming that it would be able to stop the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) from returning to power at the Centre and cobble together a governmen🐷t of i🦄ts own.

Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge has convened the meeting, the sources said.

The ruling alliance led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi 💛has also claimed that it would form the government at the Centre for the third successive time🐓 after these elections.
