Outgoing US President Joe Biden made his farewell speech on Wednesday, shortly after he confirmed that a ceasefire agreement🍷 has been reached between Israel and Hamas. 𝕴"It will take time to feel the impact of all we've done together, but the seeds are planted and they'll grow and they'll bloom for decades to come," Biden said in his speech, which took on a dark undertone.
☂Speaking behind the Resolute desk, the Democratic leader made his final address from the Oval Office. POTUS stated that American democracy has "held strong in the past four years".
🤪"I've kept my commitment to be president for all Americans for one of the toughest periods in our nation's history," said Biden said, adding that he had a "great partner, Vice President, Kamala Harris."
ꦑHowever, the outgoing President soon shifted focus and raised concerns about the concentration of power in the hands of a few ultra-rich individuals.
🦩"Today, an oligarchy is taking shape in America of extreme wealth, power and influence that literally threatens our entire democracy, our basic rights and freedoms, and a fair shot for everyone to get ahead," said Biden.
ꦜBiden will leave office on January 20, 2025, after handing over to Republican leader and former president Donald Trump.

🎐However, due to age concerns, Biden announced his withdrawal from the race and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris, who then ran the race against Trump and lost.
♒Biden leaves with a political career of over five decades. He once started out as the youngest in the room after he was elected at 30 years old to represent his home state of Delaware in 1972. And now, the President leaves by becoming the oldest sitting president in the country's history.
🃏“Nowhere else on Earth could a kid with a stutter from modest beginnings in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and Claymont, Delaware, one day sit behind the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office as President of the United States,” Biden wrote in his farewell letter.
💃“I have given my heart and my soul to our nation. And I have been blessed a million times in return with the love and support of the American people," he added.
