Buffett’s move comes j🥃ust days after Bill and Melind൲a Gates announced their divorce

Billionaire Warren Buffett on Wedn꧒esday announced his decision to resign as the trustee of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMG).

This development comes just days after the foundation’s namesakes an🅷nounced their divorce.

“For years I have been a trustee - an inactive trustee at that - of only one recipient of my funds, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. I am now resigning from ꦓthat post, just as I have d✱one at all corporate boards other than Berkshire's," the Economic Times quoted Buffett as saying.

Bill and Melinda Gates had on May 4, announcedღ their divorce after 27 years of marriage.

They, however, had said they would continue to work together at th𝔉e Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the world's largest private charitabl🍬e foundation.

The sprawling Seatt🎃le-based Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is the most influential private foundation in the world, with an endowment worth nearly USD50 🌃billion. It has focused on global health and development and US education issues since incorporating in 2000.
