Delhi: Court Directs Police To Register FIR Against AAP Chief Kejriwal Over Misuse Of Public Money

The matter is related to the alleged misuse of public money by AAP Chief Kjeirwal and ot🍰hers in putting up large hoardings in Delhi. The court haꦇs directed Delhi Police to file a compliance report on March 18.

In a major leg෴al setback for Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi's Rouse Avenue court on Tuesday directed Delhi Police to register an FIR against him and others in a matter related to an alleged misuse of public money in putting up la꧑rge hoardings in Delhi.

According to PTI, the complaint filed in 2019 alleged that Kejriwal, then Matiala MLA Gulab Singh (AAP), and then Dwarka A ward councilor Nitika Sharma "deliberately m𒆙isused public money by putting up large-sized hoardings" at various places in the area.

"This court is of the considered opinion that the application u/s 156(3) Cr.P.C. deserves to be allowed. Accordingly, the concerned SHO is directed to register FIR immediately under section 3 of Delhi Prevention of Defacement of Property Act, 2007 and any other offence that appears to have been committed from the facts of the case," Additional Chief Judicial Magi💞strate Neha Mittal said.

Kejriwal is currently out on bail in a case related to the alleged Delhi liquor policy scam. He🌼 also faced defeat in the February 5 Delhi Assembly elections including in his own constituency of New Delhi.
