In First, IAF Group Captain Shaliza Dhami To Command Combat Unit

Shaliza Dhami is also the air force's first woman-qualified flying instructor. 

For the first time in the history of the Indian Air Force (IAF), Group Captain Shaliza Dhami wil🔜l take over command of a frontline combat unit in the Western sector. 

Dhami is also the air force♛'s first woman-qualified flying instructor. 

Commissioned into the IAF in 2003, Dhami is a qualified💫 flying instructor and has logged more than 2,800 hours of flying, the officials said on the eve of I♛nternational Women's Day.

Qualified Flying Instructor, she has served as Flight Commander of a Helicopter Unit in the Western sec🐻tor.

🥃A Group Captain in the IAF is eq♛uivalent to a Colonel in the Army.

Having been commended by the Air Officer Commanding-in🐈-Chief on two occasions, the officer is presently posted in the Operations bran♑ch of a frontline Command Headquarters.
