βThe incident took place at 4:30 am on Wednesday after an argument between Shivdas Gite (37) and his wife Jyoti Gite (27), an official said.
π"During the argument, Shivdas attacked Jyoti with a scissor. He stabbed her in the throat. She was rushed to the hospital by neighbours who came after hearing her shouts for help. She was declared dead on arrival by doctors. Shivdas then shot a video on his phone, expressing remorse over his act. He posted it on his office group," the official said, as quoted by PTI.
πAccording to the reports, the accused has been arrested for murder.
βShiv Das has been working as a stenographer for the last three years; however, he had recently failed an exam that would have allowed him to continue his work. However, Shivdas had recently failed the exam.
πHe approached his seniors for another chance to pass the exam and was granted the opportunity. According to the probe, he had also borrowed money for repairing his home in Beed.
π»His wife was concerned about the family's financial situation and forced the accused to study well to qualify for the exam.
πβThere was an argument between the husband and wife that escalated on Wednesday, and in a fit of rage, Shivdas killed his wife," said Sanjay Chavan, a senior police inspector from the Chandannagar police station.

π°The family originally belonged to the Beed district of Maharashtra and lived in a rented house in Kharadi. While the accused worked as a stenographer at Shivajinagar court, the victim worked as a housemaid and did tailoring work, according to Hindustan Times.
