A yellow alert was also issued in 11 districts o🧜f Tamil Nadu on Thuꦏrsday.
According to the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) in Chennai, the maximum temperature is likely to settle at 27 degrees Celsius in Thanjavur on Saturda൩y.
Previously, a day holiday was announced for schools and colleges in several distri꧒cts of the state, including Nagapattinam and Thiruvarur districts.
E🐷arlier alsoꦉ the the schools and colleges in Nagapattinam declared a holiday because of the unseasonal rainfall in Tamil Nadu owing to a depression off the coast of Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka.
The IMD department has predicted that normal rain wo🅠uld take place in February in Northwest India. The weather department also stated that cold wave days are also likely to reduce in the coming days.
