ཧWalking to a rapturous applause from his home crowd, Kohli started off shakily before Railways pacer Himanshu Sangwan cleaned him up off his off-stump.
൲Moving in forward to an incoming delivery that pitched a tad fuller on a good length, Kohli tried to go on the full across the line. However, the ball kept a fraction low and slit past his bat to hit the off-stump.
💙The 36-year-old was earlier troubled by the same off-stump line by the Aussie pacers during the recent Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia.
🐼Post Kohli's dismissal, Delhi saw a mini-collapse as they lost players in quick succession. At the end of 30 overs, Delhi were 103/4, trailing Railways' first-innings score by 141 runs.
Disappointed Fans Leave Kotla
Kohli's tame exit meant the large crowd that had turned up at the venue, were left disappointed as they made their way out post his dismissal. This game was Kohli's first since donning the Delhi jersey in November 2012. He had featured in a one-off game in the 2012-13 Ranji Trophy game in Ghaziabad.
🧜Kohli had made 23 appearances in the Ranji Trophy since his debut in 2006 against Tamil Nadu. He has aggregated 1574 runs in 36 innings at an average of 50.77.
𒉰Kohli's highest Ranji score stands a 267-ball 173 against Bengal in November 2010.
