Towns, playing his first game against the Timberwolves since being traded to the Knicks before training camp, recorded 32 points, 20 rebounds, six assists, and made all five of his 3-point attempts. After spending nine NBA seasons with Minnesota, the former first-overall pick from the 2015 draft exploded for 19 points in the second quarter, helping the Knicks build a dominant 73-51 halftime lead. Mikal Bridges contributed 29 points, six rebounds, and six assists for New York (17-10).
