🎶The 24-time grand slam champion was forced to retire while a set down to Alexander Zverev in last week's semi-final at Rod Laver Arena.

🍰Djokovic, who initially sustained the hamstring issue during his quarter-final win over Carlos Alcaraz, will now sit out Serbia's first-round qualifier against Denmark.

♓Davis Cup organisers confirmed the news on Tuesday, with the tie scheduled to take place between 31 January and 2 February.

🌄Serbia have Miomir Kecmanovic, Laslo Djere and Hamad Medjedovic as part of their team to face Denmark at Copenhagen's Royal Arena.

🌠Speaking in the aftermath of his Australian Open withdrawal, Djokovic said: "It's not like I'm worrying approaching every grand slam now whether I'm going to get injured or not, but statistics are against me in a way in the last couple of years.

🍰"So it is true [I am] getting injured quite a bit the last few years. I don't know what exactly is the reason for that. Maybe several different factors.

💮"But I'll keep going. You know, I'll keep striving to win more slams. And as long as I feel that I want to put up with all of this, I'll be around."
