𒁃Diksha Chillar is a national medallist in Archery, a state-level footballer and a black-belt in Karate
ꩵIndia, XXth April 2023: Sports has the power to unite, inspire and make you dream. It can offer a pathway for personal growth - both physically and mentally. However, we need to educate children about this from a young age. Through the inspirational story of national athlete Diksha Chhillar, we will get a first-hand experience of how sports can help shape not only your life but also the lives of those around you.
𝐆Diksha Chillar is a national medallist in Archery, a state-level footballer and a black belt in Karate. Since her childhood, Diksha has been very athletic and had a great affinity for sports. Her family supported her, but the ecosystem was not ideal for female athletes then. Despite the barriers, Diksha made her way up to the very top in Archery. She dominated the state competitions and even made it to the Indian National Camp. However, ups and downs are always a part of an athlete's life, and she didn't get to represent India. But as they say, it's always the 'darkest before dawn', and the hiccup motivated her to dig deeper and begin her entrepreneurial journey to revolutionize Indian sports.
ܫDiksha has the hunger to win, and she never settled by excelling in just one sport like Archery. She also excels in other sports like Football and is a Black-belt in Karate. In addition, she is an entrepreneur and the founder of a sports management company named 'Aethleti Circle'. Diksha has been associated with Indian sports for over a decade and aims to redefine the dynamics of Indian sports.
♉She always has had the hunger to achieve more. She represented her state 'Haryana' in Football and earned the black belt in Karate. She had mastered multiple sports, which is very inspiring, especially when there were many barriers for female athletes. However, Diksha feels that the environment has changed for the better, and it is now more suitable for the growth of women in sports. She says: "I've seen women emerge and conquer the Indian sporting fraternity over the years. From Sania Mirza and Mary Kom to PV Sindhu and Nikhat Zareen, the examples are there for all to see. It was easy initially, but personalities such as them have brought a positive wave of change in Indian sports. I am confident that women will take Indian sports by storm in the coming years and I will put my best efforts to continue bringing a positive shift in Indian sports."
🌱There is no doubt that Sport has the power to shape lives, and Diksha Chhillar is leading from the front in that aspect. As an athlete herself for more than a decade, Diksha knows the struggles and difficulties that an athlete has to face, and she is working on making the sporting eco-system more friendly and supportive of athletes. Sports can help individuals develop social skills, including teamwork, communication, and leadership. It provides opportunities to meet new people and build relationships, thereby contributing to the growth of the society. Diksha is putting all of it into practical implementation using her real-time experience.
🍬We certainly wish the very best for her future endeavours.
