As the unrest in Bangladesh continues, the country's central bank has announced it will be printing new currency notes under the interim government led by Muhammad Yunus. These notes will ✤be printed without the image of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman🌱 - a key figure in the formation of Bangaldesh.

Furthermore, the row between India and Bangladesh continues to escalate. As per latest repo𝓡rts, Bangladesh has recalled its acꦐting high commissioners from the Kolkata and Agartala missions in India.

Bangladesh To Print New Currency Notes

Bangladesh Bank is printing new notes, the Dhaka Tribune reported. As per the local daily, the central bank will be p♍rinting new notes of Taka 20, 100, 500, and 1,000 on instructions from the interim government.

The new notes will erase the image Sheikh Mujibur Rahman - Sheikh Hasina's fathe⛦r and a key founding father of the cou❀ntry. The new notes will instead feature images from the student protests from July this year.

“The new notes will not include image of 'Ba𒊎ngabandhu' Shei🐲kh Mujibur Rahman,” the paper reported, quoting the bank.

The protests across Bangladesh questioned ౠand scrutinised the legacy of Mujibur Rahman. During the July uprising, many protestors toppled statues and vandalised murals of the "founding father."

Row With India Escalates

Amid the row with India, Bangladesh has reportedly recalled its heads of the Kolkata an🃏d Agartala missions. As per a ꦍreport by Prothom Alo, the acting deputy high commissioner of Bangladesh in Kolkata, Shikdar Md Ashrafur Rahman, and the assistant high commissioner in Tripura, Arifur Rahman, have been instructed to return to Dhaka on a "urgent basis".

The Bengali daily also added that the Kolkata head as returned to Dhaka and the Tripura mission head is 💦expected to return soon.

The recall of diplomats comes a day after demonstrators broke into the Bangladesh High Commission in Agartala, Tripuꦍra to protest against the🌠 ongoing violence against Hindu minorities.
