Delhi's Lieuten𓃲ant Governor VK Saxena has dismissed Chief Minister Atishi's allegations regarding an order calling for the demolition of Hindu and Buddhist places of worship across the capital.
Refuting the AAP leader's allegations, Delhi LG has dismissed the claim as "cheap politics." As per a statement issued by the LG's ♔Secretariat, no religious structures or any temples, mosques or churches were being demolisheꩲd.
What Has Atishi Alleged?
AAP leader and chief minister Atishi has alleged that an order issued by LG Saxena called for the demolition of religious structures across t🥀he national capital.
Sheꦬ further alleged that this meeting was called on No🌄vember 22 with a "Religious Committee" under the LG.
"It has been decided by the Religious Committee on your direction♔s, and with your approval to demolish multiple religious structures across Delhi," Chief Minister Atishi said in a letter addressed to VK Saxena.
The Del🐬hi CM further added that certain religious structures had been marked to be demolished in "West Patel Nagar, Dilshad Garden, Sunder Nagri, Seema Puri, Gokal Puri and Usmanpur."
LG Dismisses Allegations, Calls It 'Cheap Politics'
The Lie🏅utenant Governor has refuted these claims and dismissed them as "cheap politics".
"If at all, the Lt Governor has♋ issued strict instructions to the police to maintain extra vigil against forces who may i﷽ndulge in deliberate vandalism for political benefits. His instructions are being strictly followed, as was witnessed during the just gone Christmas celebrations which did not see any untoward incident," read the statement issued by the Lt Governor's office.
However, Atishi termed the LG's office rebu🌼ttal as "complete lie" and showed a copy of m🌳inute of the meeting of the Religious Committee.
"The file of Committee's order was sent to the BJP-led Centre's representative L🐷G. The LG has given approval to the decision," she claimed.
