Drones Used To Flush Out Hiding Terrorists As Operation Enters 4th Day In Jammu Kashmir’s Anantnag

The drones have been pre🌱ssed into service to pinpoint the location of terrorists who have taken po🍸sitions in the forest area on a hilly terrain in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district.

T﷽he officials have said that the operation𒀰 continues to flush out the ultras in the hilly terrain that entered the fourth day on Saturday.

Additional Director General of🌊 Police (Kashmir) Vijay Kumar said the ope🐈ration was launched based on specific input and is currently underway, PTI said.

In a post on X, Kumꦚar said the two-three trapped terrorists will be neutralised.

He ꦇalso advised retired police and Army officers to avoid peddling ambush hypothesis in the media, it said.

"Retired police/Army officers should avoid 'ambush hypothesis'. It is a specific input-based ops. Ops is in progress and all 2-3 trapped terrorists will be neutralised," he said, it 🐭mentioned.

Earlier, as the gunfight entered its third day, security forces f🍸ired mortar shells towards the forest area on th𝓡e mountainous terrain, the report said.

It added drones were pressed into service for a♍erial surveillance.

"The forces fired mortar shells on the terrain where they believe the terrorists are hiding based on drone surv𒅌eillan💎ce,"; the officials said, it added.

The security forces ha🅘ve maintained a tight cordon in the area, the🍸y added, it mentioned.

Major Ashish Dhonchak, 19 Rashtriya Rifles Commanding Officer Col Manpreet Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Jammu and Kashmir Police Humayun Bhat and a soldier were killed in an encounter with the terrorists at Gadole in the Kokernag area of the south Kashmir district on Wednesday.
