Maharashtra: 5 Injured In Communal Clash In Ahmednagar, 32 Held So Far

The police said that several shops and vehicles were damaged in stone pelting. After the violence, internet services ꦯhꩲave been suspended in the area.

A day after clasᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚhes occured in Maharashtra's Akola, communal violence broke out on Sunday night in Ahmednagar district in which at least five were injured. 

Police on Monday said that at least 🀅five persons were injured in a communal clash over a procession in Shevgaon village inඣ Ahmednagar district. 

The police said that several shops and vehicles were damaged in stone pelting. After🎶 the♍ violence, internet services have been suspended in the area.

Police have detained 32 people so far and register𒀰ed cases against 150 others after the incident on Sunday night, an official said.

Internet services have been suspeℱnded in Shevgaon village, about 65 km from the Ahmedna🍬gar district headquarters.

"Multiple shops and vehicles were damaged during stone pelting," the offi🌳cial said.

The ༒official furtheﷺr said heavy police force, including State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) and riot control squad, is deployed in the village. 

Reacting to t🥃he incident, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minis😼ter Devendra Fadnavis, who holds the Home portfolio, said the situation is under control in Ahmednagar.

He said, "Those who are trying to tr🐲igger riots will not be spared. Strict action will be take🧜n against those who are helping to create such untoward incidents."

Communal violence in Akola city and Shevgaon village𓂃 in the last two days 🍃has posed a challenge to police to prevent potential flare-ups in other areas. A total of 132 people have been detained so far after the clashes left one person dead and 13 others injured, including two policemen. 

While state minister Girish Mahajan, who belon✱gs to BJP, claimed that the violence in Akola was possibly "pre-planned", Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said t🔯here are some organisations and people who want the state to be unstable, but the government will teach them a lesson.
