At least six persons have died and 25 were injured after a passenger train got derailed in Andhra Pradesh’s Vizianagaram district on S🥀unday.

The train was going to Rayagada in Odisha from Visakhapatnam when it got derailed in Vizianagaram d𝕴istrict.

Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy ordered to take immediate relief measures and to send as many ambulances as possible from Visakhapatnam and Anakapalli, the nearest districts of Vizianagaram, and to make all kinds of arrangements in nearby hospitals to provide good medica🅘l care, ANI quoted the CM office's statement.

“The Chief Minister has issued orders to coordinate other government departments including health, police 🍰and revenue to take quick-relief measures and ensure that the injured receive prompt medical services”, the statement added.

PM Modi speaks to railway minister, takes stock of situation:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday condoled the loss of ⛦lives in the train accident in Vizianagaram district of Andhra Pradesh and spoke to Railway Ministe💫r Ashwini Vaishnaw to take stock of the situation.

"PM Narendra Modi spoke to Railway Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw  and took sto▨ck of the situation in the wake of the unfortunate train derai꧑lment between Alamanda and Kantakapalle section," the Prime Minister's Office tweeted.

Authorities are provid💟ing all poಌssible assistance to those affected, it said.

"The Prime Minister extends condolences to the bereaved fam🅰ilies and prays that the injured recover🅺 soon," the PMO tweeted.
