The MI Cape Town once against showcased their dominance against the defending champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape thrashing them by 10 wickets in match 25 of the SA20, 2025 on January 29, Wednesday at the Newlands, Cape Town. (Match Highlights| More Cricket News)

After being asked to set a target first, the Aiden Markram-led Sunrisers Eastern Cape never found their form. They were restricted to just 107 runs in 19.2 overs, with MI Cape Town's bowlers showcasin🃏g exceptional skill, especially Corbin Bosch who picked 4 wickets conceding 19 runs.

David Bedingham to🌠p-scored with 45, but he had little support as wickets fell at regular intervals. The Eastern Caꦇpe struggled to build partnerships, with only four players reaching double figures.

Markram (10), Tristan Stubbs (5), and Tom Abell (1) were all dismissed ch🅷eaply, with Cape Town's attack creating constant headaches for the opponent batteꦡrs.

Kagiso Rabada scythed away the openers early Bedingham and Tony de Zorzi just for 2. Rashid Khan, Trent Boult and Dewald Brevis also made crucial contributions, each t🎀aking one wicket. The Sunrisers'ဣ lower order crumbled, with MI wrapping up the innings with Andile Simelane's run-out in the 19th over.

The hunt of the modest target of 108, saw the MI openers, Rassie van der Dussen and R🐻yan Rickelton, ensure there were no hiccups.

The pair took the attack to the Sunrisers bowlers, chasing down the target in just 11 overs without losing a w🔯icket.

Van der Dussen was particulꦓarly aggressive, scoring 48 off 30 balls, while Rickelton remained unbeaten on 59 off 36 b🦩alls.

This match was billed as a chance for Aiden Markram and his side to seek revenge after th🤡eir heavy 97-run def🍷eat to the same MI Cape Town team in the campaign opener.

However, fate had other plans. Despite the early hope for a turnaround, MI Cape Town♐, led by Rashid Khan, ended up securing a domi🅺nant 10-wicket victory, handing Markram’s team a crushing defeat once again.

♑The Sunrisers Eastern Cape will next face P🎃aarl Royals in the 28th Match at St George's Park, Gqeberha on February 1, Saturday. Meanwhile, the MI Cape Town will host Pretoria Capitals in 30th Match on February 2, Sunday at the Newlands.
