Singh's 40th minute strike remained the difference between the two teams even though the Blasters came hard at the FC Goa goal in the secon꧅d half. However, the hosts could not get that equaliser despite consistent attacks after the break.
Early in the game, the hosts made a few entries into the opposition box but could not get enough space to test the FC goalkeeper Hrithik Tiwari. After the initial burst, it was the Gaurs who took the upperhand and made some strong attacks. The attacks finally resulted in Boris getting one to go past the Kerala Blasters go🐓alkeeper Sachin Suresh whose poor collection cost his ꩲteam.
Sureshܫ would make some good saves later in the match but his team's forward line would not be able to break through the FC Goa defence.
FC Goa's win is also their third on the trot this season after they defeated Bengaluru FC and Punjab FC in their last two matches. The win, their fourth of the season, takes the Gaurs to the💜 fifth place in the standings, level at points with the third and fourth placed NorthEast United and Punjab FC.
For Kerala Blasters, the defeat was their fifth of the season and they now remain at the ninth position after 10 games with just 11 points. This was also the first time in 17 matches that the Blasters could no𝓀t score at home.
