𝓀The Serb retired hurt after one set of his final-four clash with Alexander Zverev on Friday due to a hamstring problem he suffered during his epic battle with Carlos Alcaraz in the quarter-finals.

꧂When it became clear that Djokovic would not be able to finish the semi-final match, some sections of the Rod Laver Arena crowd jeered him.

♔This followed comments from John McEnroe, who commentated on the clash between Djokovic and Alcaraz, suggesting the injury was not genuine after the 37-year-old had taken an off-court medical time out, saying: "This isn't the first time we've seen this routine. Don't be fooled."

🔴However, after undergoing tests to find out the extent of the injury, Djokovic posted an MRI scan of his hamstring on social media, with the caption: "Thought I'd leave this here for all the sports injury "experts" out there."

🍃It is not yet clear how long Djokovic will be out as he begins his recovery from the injury.
