A tragic incident occurred in east Delhi's Madhu Vihar as a class 11 student allegedly committed suicide by jumping off the third floor of her building on Sunday. According to police, the girl's friendship with a boy in her class that her parents disapproved of may have led to her taking the extreme step.

The spot was inspected by a crime team and forensic experts, he said⛦. During enquiry, the statements of a few neighbours were recorded and all of them supported the version that the girl had jumped off the third floor, he added.
The body has been preserved at the Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital and an autopsyꦑ will be done on Monday♉, police said, adding the deceased's father runs a private business. Inquest proceedings have also been initiated, they added.
