IMD Weather Forecast: Cold Wave Alert For North India As Delhi Temp Drops; Tamil Nadu Braces For Rain

As winter season sets in, theꦕ IMD has issued a cold wave to severe cold wave warning in parts of North India⛄. Meanwhile, parts of South India, such as Tamil Nadu, continue to brace for rainfall.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a co⛎ld wave alert for northern India as temperatures continue to drop. In Delhi, the temperature has once again ꧒dipped below five degrees Celsius.

As winter season sets in, the IMD has issued 🎉a cold wave to severe cold wave warning in parts of North India. Meanwhile, part♍s of South India, such as Tamil Nadu, continue to brace for rainfall. '

IMD has predicted a cold wave for Northern India, espec𓃲ially the states of Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. As per IMD scientist Soma Sen, the temperatures are expected to drop by 1-2 degrees and the cold wave is expected to remain for one or two days across North and Central India.

Furthermore, a Western Disturbance, isolated r♐ainfall and snowfall is expected over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh𓂃 and other regions on December 16 and 17.

Delhi recorded its coldest temperature of the season as temperature dropped below five degrees C✨elsius. As per the weather department, the temperature of the national capital dropped to 4.5 degree🐓s Celsius on Sunday.

In Rajasthan, a severe cold wav🦩e warning has been issued as temperatures dip below zero degrees Celsius. In Sikar district's Fatehpur, the temp🔯erature dropped to minus 1.3 degrees.

As North India braces⛎ for another drop in temperatures, the South is bracing for more rain. A rainfall alert has been issued for he𝓰avy to very heavy rainfall in Tamil Nadu.

P꧃uducherry, Kerala, Coastal Andhra Pradesh. Rayalaseema, and South Interior Karnataka are also expected to receive heavy rainfall next week.
