Spurs claimed their first Premier League win since December 15 - while ending a run of four straight defeats - at the Gte🌞ch Community Stadium.
Vitaly Janelt turned Son Heung-min's first-half cౠorner into his own net, while Pape Sarr put the result beyond doubt 𒁏three minutes from time.
Although Brentford registered 38 crosses to the visitors' nine, Postecoglou's side restricted their oppo💙nents to just four shots on target, while Yoane Wissa struck the woodwork early in the second half.
And Postecoglou paid tribute to his players, who recorded only their fif♉th Premie🔯r League clean sheet of the campaign.
"It's always a challenge here, especially at home, [Brentford] are hard to beat," he said. "[We] needed a big effort again today. We put that in, they had a lot of set-pieces, and we dealt wit😼h them awfully well.
"I think we defended as well as we have all season, and we still had the quality to hur𒈔t them the other way. Ou🐷tstanding effort by the players.
"🐈;I don't think they had many clear-cut chances. There were a lot of balls in the box, but when you're throwing them in from the touchline, you can't avoid that.
"I thought the lads handled that part of it really well. Great football🌟 and credit to the lads."
Archie Gray, who b﷽ecame the second🏅-youngest player to start 10 Premier League games for Spurs at 18 years and 327 days old, hopes they can build momentum after their morale-boosting victory.
"Obviously, it's a massive win," he told Premier League Productions. ꧙"We were in a difficult time. We've still got loads of games to prove that we can carry this winning form on, so it's important.
"At times this season, jus🥂t for five minutes, we've lost concentration. As soon as that goal went in, we knew we can't make the same mistakes. Once we got to half-time, we thought we had to keep disciplined for the second half.
"It was a really good clean she🐬et, and hopefully, we can k💙eep it going."
Brentford had 20 shots and 2.29 expected goals (xG) against Spurs, both of whi🉐ch are their highest totals in a Premier League ga♉me where they have failed to score.
Brentford boss Thomas Frank hailed Tottenham's defensive efforts while feeling the Bees were unfortunate to suffer a fifth ღdefeat in six home games across all competitions.
"We did a lot of things right, but we need to ask what we could do more," he said. "A lot o♏f thi﷽ngs didn't drop for us.
"We created a lot, produced more than 30 crosses, 20 shots, but we didn't create enough big chances, we had a lot of half-chances. It is𝕴 down to very good defending, maybe the best defending of their box all season.
"Sometimes, one goal decides it a little bit. They scoreꦛd from a set-piece. On the flip side, we don't score from any of our set-pieces. If we'd got in f🐟ront, it might have been a different game."
