Steven Gerrard Part Ways With Al-Ettifaq After 18-Month Stint By Mutual Consent

Gerrard join𝔉ed Al-Ettifaq in July 2023 and had only signed a new two-year contract with the club in January last year, but a poor run of results sees him out of work once again. 

Al-Ettifaq have won just five of their 17 league matches this season, leaving them five poin♉ts above the relegation zone, resulting in Gerrard's dismissal. 

Gerrard oversaw 59 games in charge of the Saudi Arabian outfit across all competitions, winning 23 (D16 L2🍷3), ending his time at the club with a win percentage of just 39%. 

Of the three clubs the former Liverpool midfielder has managed, only with Aston V🎃illa (32.5%) has h🌟e won fewer games. At Rangers, he won 64.8% of his 193 matches at the helm.

"So overall, I have lear🌳ned a lot,⛄ and it's been a positive experience personally and for my family as well.

"But football is unpredictable and sometimes ✤things don't go the way we📖 want. However, I leave with great respect for the club and country.

"I have no doubt that the work being done will bring success in the future, and I wish the team the very ⭕best for the rest of the season."
