The Health Ministry has directed the Indian Premier League to prohibit all forms of tobacco and al𒁏cohol promotions, including surro🐼gate advertisements, during the upcoming tournament starting March 22.

In a letter to IPL chairman Arun Dhumal, Director General of Health Services Atul Goel emphasized that cricke🗹t players, who serve as role models for India's youth, should not be associated, either directly or indirectly, with any form of tobacco or alcohol advertising.

🎃Vanuatu prime minister Jotham Napat has directed the country's Citizenship Commission to cancel the passport issued to former Indian Premier League founder Lalit Modi, saying that the fugitive was attempting to avoid his extradition. The Commonwealth Games Federation has changed its name to Commonwealth Sport, saying it was a transition from being a governing body to becoming a "movement". The decision to change its name has been announced on the occasioওn of Commonwealth ๊Day -- March 10. "From Commonwealth Day 2025 onwards, the Commonwealth Games Federation will be known as Commonwealth Sport," the governing body of the Commonwealth Games and Commonwealth Youth Games said in a media release.
