Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that his 'Make in India' initiat💞ive has had ♋a truly impressive effect on the Indian economy.
While speaking at a forum in Moscow organised by Russia’s Agency✤ for Strategic Initiatives (ASI), Vladimir Putin cited India as an example of a country encouraging companies to develop, manufacture, and assemble products locally, the Russian television network RT reported.
“Our friends in India and our big friend🍌, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, launched t🧜he ‘Make in India’ initiative several years ago. It has had a truly impressive effect on the Indian economy. It would do no harm to emulate what is working well, even if it was not us but our friends who created it,” the Russian president said.
Further praising India's initiative to encourage domestic products꧂ and brands in Russia,Vladimir Putin said there is a need for Moscow to “offer support tools to help our companiesౠ market their products more efficiently.”
He hailed India's initiat🍃ive to create an effective model to develop local manufacturing capabilities and woo foreign investors.
According to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), the 'Make in India' initiative, which was launched in September 2014, aims to make In🍸dia an integral part of the global supply chain, by making it the most preℱferred global manufacturing destination.
Earlier, Russian Ambassador Denis Alipov spoke highly of the par🍃tnership between both the countries in New Delhi. He said that the "special Russia-India strategic partnership" has shown strengthꦯ and is "growing stronger as ever''.
"There have been lies about Russia on a dail♓y basis and on a global scalꦏe. Efforts are being made to disrupt Russia - India relations," Envoy Alipov said.
