Assam Police Books Indian Youth Congress President Srinivas BV After Harassment Allegations

A team of Assam police has left for Karnataka to investigate the harrasment claims of Assam 🍬Congress youth wing president Angkita Dutta against party youth wing’s national president Srinivas BV. The police has registered a case against tꦕhe latter for the same.

Earlier in the day, the Al✅l India Congress Committee (AICC) expelled Dutta from the primary membership for six years over “anti-party activities”. 

This comes a day after Dutta submitted her reply to the show-cause notꦉice for going public with allegations of harassment and gender discrimination agains♒t the Indian Youth Congress president. 

Assam Congress chief Bhupen Kumar Borah said that the youth win💫g leader took the step without firওst informing the party leadership.

"The police team has left for Karnataka to arrest Srinivas BV in the harassment case after preliminary investigation. The National Commission for Women (NCW) has submitted a letter to the Assam Police too," a source said,♔ according to a report by India Today.

"I have been harassed for the last six months. I spoke about this to the party leadership. An in-charge was sent here, Vardhan Yadav. After he came here, he started creating a lot of trouble in the Assam Y💖outh Congre☂ss. He also started creating lobbies. And all this he was doing as per Srinivas BV's instructions," she said in an interview with India Today TV.
