As the Delhi assembly elections draw near, AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Monday accused the BJP of indulging in hooliganism and targeting AAP workers. Kejriwal also claimed that the Delhi Police is afraid and helpless to tackle the situation, PTI reported.
Addressing a press co𓆏nference on the last day of campaigning for the February 5 Delhi Assembly elections, Kejriwal also attacked Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Rajiv Kumar and accused him of c💃ompromising democracy for personal benefits.
"Who is this biggest goon who is not afraid of the laws of this country? Who is this goon who is arresting journalists and attacking AAP workers and supporters openly? Who is this goon from whom Delhi Police is taking orders and is feeling afraid and helpless," Kejriwal said, as quoted by PTI.
Kejriwal also targets the Election Commission, alleging bias i🔯n favour of th💦e BJP.
Referring to CEC Rajiv Kumar, Kejriwal said, "I request him not🌄 to put democracy in danger for a post-retirement job. Don't put the 🅰country's future at stake."
"The way the Election Commission has s🅺urrendered to the BJP, it seems as if it 🌳no longer exists," he stated.
Kejriwal Claims BJP Will End Freebies If Voted To Power
Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday launched ✤a blistering attack on the BJP, warning Delhiites that if his party comes to power, it will stop key we🅠lfare schemes provided by the AAP government.
"BJP has already said that if they form the government, they will put an end to five major services—free electricity, free water, government schools, mohalla clinics, and free bus rides for women," Kejriwal stated while campai𓄧gning, as per the reports.
Contrasting AAP's governa✱nce with that of the BJP, the former Delhi chief minister said, "On one side, a party is saving Rs 25,000 per month for the common man, and on the other, there is a party indulging in hooliganism."
Elections to the 70-member Delhi Assembly will be held on ꦯFebruary 5, and the votes will be counted on February 8.
