In a controversial move, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Ketakee Singh recently urged Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath to make arrangements for a 'separate wing' for🦄 Muslims at the nꦺew Ballia Medical College, citing the need to ensure safety of Hindus.

On Tuesday, UP deputy CM Brajesh Pathak said that CM Adityanath has decided that a new medical college will be🅘 constructed in Ballia. The proposed medical college in Ballia will be named after freedom fighter Chittu Pandey.

What All Did The BJP MLA Say?

As per PTI, the BJP MLA representing the Bansdih assembly constituency said as Muslims often express discomfort concerning Hindu festivals such as Holi, Ram Navami, and Durga Puja, they might also 🐈have objections to receiving medical treatment alongside Hindus.

"I urge Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to establish a separate wing and a separate building for Muslims in the medical college so that 💃Hindus 𓆉can feel safe," she told PTI on Monday.

"Muslims should have a separate wing and building in the medical coll🐼ege so ಌthat Hindus remain safe. Who knows what they might spit into our food?", she remarked while adding, "You must have seen videos on the Internet, spitting on fruits, spitting on vegetables, mixing urine. I demand from the CM that a separate wing should be made for them so that they can get mental and physical treatment."

Emphasising the need for a separate wing, the BJP MLA further said, "I request Maharaj ji (Chief Minister Adityanath) that since so much money is being spent anyway, a separate building and wing should be constructed for them. If they have a problem stayin🌱g with us, they can get treated there."

BJP MLA Backs Recent Anti-Muslim Remarks

Besides expressing her own views, the BJP MLA also backed BJP leader Raghuraj Singh, who recently had advised Muslims to stay indoors on Holi. Singh serves as the chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Labour and Employment Ministry's Hig✤h-Level Advisory Committee.

"I request such people to follow the example of their women who wear hijabs and their mosques, which are covered with tarpaulin. They can create a🌳 'tarpaulin hijab' for themselves, which would allow them to go about without any trouble and offer prayers easily," he said.

"Raghuraj ji is absolutely right. If they insist t🧔hat girls must always wear hijabs and they have such a strong aversion to colours, then they can use hijabs to cover themselves on Holi as well. There is nothing wrong with that. They should stay indoors", MLA Ketakee Singh said.

Moreover, she supported the remark of a Sambhal policeman who recently said those uncomfortable with Holi colours should remain i🐲ndoors as Fridays come 52 times a year for Namaaz while Holi comes only onc🦄e.

"A brave policeman in Sambhal clearly said that there are 52 'Jumme' (Friday) in a year, but Holi comes only once a year. So I thought that if something happened by mistake some colour was splashed, then this crying gang would take to the streets. ...I think that if they are so scared of our people, then why not have a separate wing made for them at the medical college ꦕthat is being built in Ballia, where they can come get treatment," the BJP MLA told ANI.
