After playing a late cut off Matt Henry, Sarfaraz ran for a single but Pant wanted a second. Sarfaraz noted that New Zealand fielder Devon Conway had collected the ball and threw it immediately at keeper Tom Blundell. Earlier on Day 4, heavy rain shortly after the start of New Zealand's innings led to st🍨umps being called for the day. The Men in Blue were bowled out for 462 ruಌns, setting a target of 107 runs for the Kiwis.

While this total may seem modest, it is larger than what India initially thought they could 🔥achieve, but smaller than what they would have hoped for, given the solid platform set by Sarfaraz Khan and Rishabh Pant🍬.

We are just minutes away from the scheduled start time and the conditions are not favourable for an early start. It is slightly drizzling in Bengaluru꧂ at the moment and the covers are on.

Needing 107 to win on the final day,♛ the visitors navigated what many termed a hostile opening spell from Jasprit Bumrah before Will Young and Rachin Ravindra stitched an unbeaten 75-run stand for the third wicket. The reached the target inꦫ 27.4 overs. All in all, a emphatic win for the Kiwis.

"It was a goo🐻d effort in the second innings (with the bat). We knew what lies ahead, get as many as possible. A couple of guys stood out, they were great to watch. When you're 350 behind, you can't think too much. Just have to try and bat the ball and see where the♔ game goes.

"It was exciting to watch partnerships get us into the game. We could🐼've easily been bowled under 350, it's something we're proud of. Everyone's on th🧜e edge of the seat when Rishabh Pant and Sarfaraz Khan bat. Pant's was a mature innings, he's done it for a while, he played his shots too. Sarfaraz was very clear and mature in just his third or fourth Test."

"I said it at the press conference after Day 1. We knew it'd be a challenge -- with overcast conditions and tricky pitch!. We didn't think we'll be 46 all out but due credit to New Zealand. It set us back and games like this will happen. We have got to take the good things forward. We've been here before, conceding home losses, these things happen. Two Tests toꩵ go, we know what it takes and will give it all in the next two Tests."

"I thought we'd bat, good toss to lose iꦐn the end. Guys put the ball in the right areas for a long time in the first innings and got rewards. Knew India would come back and they did, boꦑwlers showed up with the second ball. We know what a quality side India are, we thought the new ball would help them too, built a couple of big partnerships, hundred stand got us forward. Was nice to only be chasing a hundred."
