🐓Despite locking horns with the English team in the ongoing third Ashes Test at Headingley, David Warner and Pat Cummins found time to try out the buzzing platform, Threads.
𝄹It is a newly launched social media platform by Meta to counter Twitter’s dominance. Users can post text, links, reply to messages and can even import their follower base from Instagram.
💦Warner, who is often revered by many for his social media antics, posted while tagging Pat Cummins on the platform.
“Hey, I’m now on Threads,” penned Warner.
🦋He is often seen dancing to famous Indian songs and making reels on them on social media platforms.
ꦿNetizens absolutely love him for keeping them entertained with his impressive moves. Cummins took a witty jibe at his teammate, requesting him to refrain from dancing on this platform.
⛦“No dance video on here plz,” replied the Australian skipper.
♊India’s premier wicket-keeper-batter, Rishabh Pant, who’s also known for his hilarious antics behind the stumps decided to join the social media banter between the Australian duo.
“Best advice bro,” wrote the Indian left-hander.
☂In Ashes 2023, Australia have so far kept England’s “Baz-ball” approach at bay, leading the series by 2-0.
🎃In the third Ashes Test, comeback hero Mitchell Marsh’s blistering run-a-ball 118 rescued Australia’s tattering first innings and took them to a respectable score of 263. Cummins’ 6-91 made sure England had a 26-run deficit in their first innings.
💮Captain Ben Stokes played a rescue act of 80 off 108 balls, taking his team to a competitive position.
In reply to Australia’s second-innings target of 251, the Three Lions are currently 27-0 at the end of Day 3.
