PSV Eindhoven head coach Peter Bosz has said he will turn things around for the club after a run of three straight defeats that culminated in a Champions League hammering at home to Arsenal on Tuesday. (More Football News)
PSV were blown away by Arsenal in their 7-1 defeat in the fir👍st leg of their Cham🦄pions League round of 16 tie, which is the first time a Dutch club has ever conceded seven goals in a European match.
That result had followed back-to-back defeats against Go Ahead Eagles, firstly in the Dutch Cup semi-final and then in the league to go eight points behind Ajaxꦚ in the Eredivisie title race, 𓄧while also losing their 56-match unbeaten record at home.
"Of course I will get things back on track," Bosz told reporters after T🌜uesday’s thumping at the Philips Stadion.
"We𒅌 have to do it together, together we can get through it again. We have shown that we can do it, againꦜst Juventus, against Feyenoord in the cup.”
P𓃲SV had knocked out Juventus in the previous round of the tournament, but were unable to lay a glove on Arsenal on Tuesday.
“It was painful. Humiliating. We had no chance. Outplayed. Bad. Against an opponent who is really good an𒐪d we are in a difficult phase,” Bosz added.
“If you analyse the goals we conceded, you can see that straight awa⛄ꦐy that we need to defend better."
Despi𝕴te the dominant victory, Bosz did highlight moments♛ that could have changed the course of the match.
"There were two moments that could have affected the outcome. At 0-0, we🧜 hit the crossbar. The second moment was that they could h🉐ave received a second yellow card," he said.
PSV will be home to Heerenveen in the Dutch league on Saturday and then play away against Arsenal next Wedne🌠sday in the return leg in London.
