Malayalam film and television actor Dileep Shankar was found dead in a hotel room at Vanross Junction in Thiruvan𓃲anthapuram on Sunday, December 29. As per reports, the cause of his death is not known yet and is 🎃still under investigation.
Dileep was a popular face especially in the Malayalam television industry. He did several serials such as Sundari, Panchagni and Ammayariyathe. He also appeared in films like Chaappa Kurish and North 24.
Reportedly, Dileep was in Thiruvananthapuram for shooting of the television series Panchagni. He had rented the hotel room fo✤ur days ago and was not seen outside for the past two days. His colleagues tried to reach him multiple times but the actor didn't respond to their calls and they reached the hotel and asked the hotel staff to open the door. They found Dileep’s body inside the room.
As per a report in Mat🗹rubhumi, the directo🦂r of the show informed the police that Dileep had been suffering from a serious illness. Reports state that he was receiving treatment for the ailment but the nature of his illness is not known yet.
According to police's investigation, there are no unnatural factors involved in Dileep's death. The New Indian Express quoted a police source saying, “There are no signs of🌺 foul play at this stage. The exact cause of death will be ascertained after the post-mortem''.
