ꦚA Canadian court has granted bail to all four Indian nationals accused in the killing of Khalistani extremist Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
♏The Nijjar killing case has now been transferred to the British Columbia Supreme Court and is scheduled to begin on February 11, 2025.
൩The four accused - Karan Brar, Amandeep Singh, Kamalpreet Singh, and Karanpreet Singh - were charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
꧙The four Indian Nationals were arrested by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in May 2024 from all across Canada.
𝔍However, despite this, the arrest and trial of the four Indians faced flak due to the lack of evidence against the accused. All four men were accused of working with agents of the Indian government to assassinate Nijjar.
📖Hardeep Singh Nijjar was the leader for the Khalistan Tiger Force and a known extremist. The Indian-government designation terrorist was gunned down outside a gurudwara in Surrey, British Columbia in June 2023.
