ಌA Mumbai auto-rickshaw driver has been arrested for the alleged rape of a 20-year-old woman found late Tuesday at a railway station—with stones and a surgical blade—wrapped in plastic, in her private parts.

ꩲHowever, media reports suggest, quoting police, there is much more to this story; the cops believe the woman put the objects in her body herself.

Did The Woman Insert The Objects Herself?

𒐪After preliminary investigation, cops believe the woman put the objects in her body herself, reported NDTV.

𓄧Police sources told NDTV the young woman lives with her family in Nalasopara, a township within the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, and that she inserted the stone and blade into her body to avoid being scolded and beaten by her parents—for being raped by the auto-rickshaw driver.

💯According to the NDTV report, woman and the auto-rickshaw driver went to Arnala Beach together and planned to spend the night there.

𒆙Due to a lack of identity cards, the woman and the auto driver couldn’t get a room in the hotel and thus stayed on the beach, where she was allegedly raped, NDTV reported.

🌞When the woman was taken to a hospital, doctors found foreign objects, including a surgical blade and stones, forcibly inserted into her private parts.

🧸Doctors removed the items from her body, and she is now undergoing treatment.

⛦Initially, the woman claimed to be an orphan from Varanasi under the care of her uncle, but further investigation revealed inconsistencies in her story. Her father disclosed that she had previously filed two rape complaints in 2023 at the Nirmal Nagar and Shivaji Nagar police stations in Mumbai.
