From the 2023 World Cup-winning team Australia, only captain Pat Cummins stands as the lone warrior to make the ICC all-star team, retaining his position as captain.
Speaking of the Indian contingent, it was expected that 23-year-old Yashasvi Jaiswal would make it to the list for his exceptional season. The young opener amassed an impressive 1,478 runs in 2024, boasting an average of 54.74, with only England's Joe Root surpassing him in the run tally.
Ravindra Jadeja also had a remarkable 2024, contributing 527 runs at an average of 29.27 and taking 48 wickets at an impressive 24.29. His standout perf🍌ormances included a home series against New Zealand, where he shone with the ball, claiming 16 wickets, featuring a 10-wicket haul at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
And as for Jasprit Bumrah, it was not just a year, it was a magical journey that aslo saw him becoming the first bowl🍰er to average under 20 with a minimum of 200 wickets in Test cricket history.
Bumrah picked 71 wickets in 2024 at an average of 14.92, finishing as the highest wicket-t🤡aker in Test cricket for thꩲe year.
In the crucial Border-Gavaskar Trophy, which India lost after 10 yඣears of dominance, Jasprit Bumrah won millions of hearts also earning the Player of✅ the BGT 2024-25 Series honour.4
