Jean-Philip💛pe Mateta scored both goals in the second half for Palace, turning in from close range in the 64th minute before netting his second in the dying stages.
It is 🌼the fifth defeat Amorim has overseen in seven top-flight matches at Old Trafford, while it is the seventh loss United have suffered in 13 home league games, their most at this stage of a league campaign since 1893-94.
In fact, since the start of last season, only Wolves (16) ha🎃ve🔜 lost more Premier League home matches than United's 13.
The defeat saw Palace leapfrog the Red Devils in the tabl🍷e, leaving them in 13th place and five points🍌 off the top half.
"The result is really bad. The perfꦡormance was a little bit better than the last games," Amorim told Sky Sports.
"We suffered two goals that we could avoid, and the injury to Lisandro Martinez [who was st🌌retchered off] was tough for the team.
"It's normal for the fans to feel negative, it is a hard season for them, but footbaℱll can change in certain moments. I will prepare for the next game and mov🐎e forward. Better things will come."
United have failed to score in the first half of💛 18 matches in the competition this term, more than any other team, while it is the ninth time they have failed to hit the back of the🌠 net.
They had 17 chances, bettering Palace's 11, but only tested Dean Henderson twice. They also only created 1.31🐻 expected goals (xG) compared to Palace's 2.61.
Amorim chose not to start with a recognised striker on Sunday, bringing on Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee in a double substitution in th𓄧e 70th minute, and he wa🐓s left lamenting missed chances at the end of the game.
"During the game, I felt that the team did some things well," A🌠morim told BBC Match of the Day.
"We take some things from the performance, but not the result. It is a hard season at this ♍moment, the players try different things to improve. We need to move forward.
"We had more possession, more connections, we created chances, 🗹but we couldn't score and that was the difference today.
"I didn't feel that [there was extra pressure playing at home], but it is difficult to play here because we want to 🐈please our fans. This season is going to be like that, I said it from the first day."
