National Games 2025: Manipur, Maharashtra Dominate With Double Podiums In Men's, Women's Triathlon

Manipur and Maharashtra showed tremendous performance in the individual triathlon, men and women's events, of the National Games 2025, on January 26. (More Sports News)

Manipur's Sarungbam Athouba Meitei won the gold medal in the Men's Individual Triathlon event while his state mate Telheiba Soram grabbed the sil🔴ver medal. The bronze medal i🍌n a neck and neck race went to Maharashtra's Parth Sachin Mirage.

Athouba Meitei fi💦nished with 1:01:01, a swim time of 09:55 minutes, a bike time of 31:53 minutes, and finally a run time ♔of 18:09 minutes.

His consistency across all three events earned him the number one position. Telheib🅘a Soram secured the second place with an overall time of 1:02:10. Parth Sachin Mirage got the bronze medal with a time of 1:01:14.

Sarungbam Athouba Meitei reflected on his performance, saying, "I am happy, but I don’t know why I am not very happy. I just want to keep practicing and play mor𓃲e and more tournaments to get better as I am just 18 years old."

In Women's Individual Triathlon, Maharashtra claimed top two spℱots as Dolly Devidas Patil won the gold and Mansi Vinod Mohite took the silver.

Aadya Singh of Madhya Pradesh bagged the bronze. P🅘atil emerged the ꦓwinner having taken 1:10:03 with a time of 10:35 minutes swim, 35:51 minutes by bike, and 20:37 minutes during running.

The silver and bronze medal battle was intense, with Mansi Vinod Mohite finishing at 1:10:43, jus꧒t four seconds ahead of Aady🌌a Singh, who clocked 1:10:47, making it one of the most thrilling finishes of the National Games triathlon event.

Speaking about her victory, Dolly Devidas Patil said, "This is my first gold at any National Games, s💙o I am happy. I practiced really hard for this. I am very relieved."

With this stellar performance, Manipur and Maharashtra continue to solidify their reputations as powerhouses in endurance and multi-discipline sports. The athletes have consistently demonstrate🐻d resilience and skill, making a lasting impact on the National Games.
