The 38th National Games will kick off on January 26, 2025, with Triathlon at the Manaskhand in Golapar, Haldwani. Triathlon is considered one of the toughest sports in the world, testing the limits of endurance and skill. (More Sports News)
The event will begin with the Individual Triathlon, which includes a 750m swim, 20km cycle, and a 5km run. This segment will showcase 32 qualified male athletes 🅷from 22 different states and 32 qualified female athletes from 18 states. Often, teams from SSCB, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu lead in the men's category, while Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Gujarat dominate the women’s category.
ওIn the men's category, last edition’s gold medalist, Adarsh Muralidharan Sinimol from SSCB, will be a strong contender once again. Meanwhile, in the women's category, Maharashtra’s Mansi Vinod Mohite and Sanjana Sunil Joshi, who won gold and silver medals respectively in the 37th National Games, will enter the competition in top form.
൲The triathlon event will showcase the remarkable endurance and skill of India's finest athletes. Haldwani’s scenic lake will serve as the perfect picturesque venue for the swimming segment, adding to the excitement and visual appeal of the competition. 🌞Continuing this exciting sport, the Mixed Relay Triathlon will take place on January 27, where 16 teams of 4 participants each (2 males and 2 females) will compete. Each participant must complete a 250m swim, 10km cycle, and 2.5km run.
𓃲The triathlon competition will conclude with the Duathlon Individual event on January 30, where 32 male and 32 female participants will compete in a running, cycling, and running event (2.5km, 20km, 2.5km).
