Aquaman star Jason Momoa will star in a DC universe film. He will play the popular anti-hero and bounty hunter Lobo in the upcoming movie Supergirl: Woman Of Tomorrow, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
Supergirl: Woman Of Tomorrow will also star House of the Dragon actor Milly Alcock in the titular role. It also features Matthias Schoenaerts as villain Krem of the Yellow Hill and Eve Ridley will star as Ruthye Mary Knolle. Supergirl: Woman Of Tomorrow will revolve aroღund the story of Kara Zor-El, the cousin of Superman.
Momoa confirmed playing Lobo in an Instagram post, where he shared a screenshot 💜from a past interview where he expressed his interest in playing Lobo.
"So Lobo was... I collect comics, and I don't do so much anymore, but he was always my favourite༺, and I always wanted to play Lobo, because I'm like, 'Hello? It's the perfect role.
"I mean, listen. If they call and ask me to play him, it's a f*ck yeah. I haven't received that call, so I don't want to put any fake news ou🌊t there, but if they ever call me and ask me to play, or ask me to audition, I'm there," he said🅷.
Jason Momoa made his debut as Aquaman with a cameo in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and then played the lead in Justice League, Aquaman and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
Talking about Lobo, he is a popular character in the DC Universe. He comes from from the alien planet Czarnia. He is known for his violent, and ⛄disdainful persona.
For the unversed, Lobo wad created by Roger Slifer and Keith Giffen, and the character first appeared in Omega Men 3 (1983).
It is to note that Supergirl: Woman Of Tomorrow will be the second film in James Gunn and Peter Safran’s rebooted DC Universe after David Corenswet starter Superman.
