🤡The Critics Choice Awards, which was scheduled to take place on January 12, 2025 will now be held on January 26, 2025. It has been rescheduled due to the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles.

The rescheduled event of the 30th annual Critics Choice Awards𒉰 will take place at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California, and will be broadcasted live on E!. It will also be available on Peacock the next day. 

ജCCA CEO Joey Berlin said, “This unfolding tragedy has already had a profound impact on our community. All our thoughts and prayers are with those battling the devastating fires and with all who have been affected''.

💖The The Critics Choice Awards' postponement came after the cancellation of this Saturday’s BAFTA Tea Party.

A BAFTA꧑ Tea Party rep wrote, “In light of the dangerous winds and wildfires in Los Angeles, we are cancelling this weekend’s BAFTA Tea Party. The safety of our colleagues, friends and peers in Los Angeles remains our utmost priority and our thoughts are with everyone impacted''.

Oscar﷽ nominations' announcement for the 97th Academy Awards, which was originally set for January 17, has also been pushed to January 19. The Oscar nomination voting window has also been extended by the Academy. According to Variety, voting for the nearly 10,000 Academy members, began on January 8, and was initially set to end on January 12. But, due to the devastating wildfires, the deadline has now been pushed to January 14. However, the award ceremony will be on March 2, as per the schedule.

💙The Academy sent an email to members on January 8 sharing the date changes from CEO Bill Kramer.

♉In the mail, Kramer offered his deepest condolences to those who have been impacted by the devastating fires across Southern California. ''So many of our members and industry colleagues live and work in the Los Angeles area, and we are thinking of you,” he said.

The Screen Actors Guild Awards nominations were announced via press release instead of live event. The premieres of films like Better Man and The Last Showgirl are also called off. Universal Studios Hollywood halted shooting for shows like Ted Lasso and Grey’s Anatomy.

The wildfires, which began on Tuesday in Los Angeles, caused severe destruction forcing the residents to move out of their homes. Hollywood stars such as Anthony Hopkins, Paris 🦂Hilton, and Billy Crystal, among others have suffered personal losses, in the 'catastrophic' wildfires.
