Ten wagons of a goods train derailed near Sarai Rohilla Railway sta♋tion in Delhi on Saturday. The officials have confirmed that the derailment has c🐠aused the death of an old rag-picker.
The incident took place when the train was passing 🐲under the Zakhira flyover on Saturday morning. The train 🦋derailed near a residential colony.
A railway official told PTI that the body of the 70-year-old rag-picker, identified🎀 as Rafiq, was recovered from under a bogie.
꧑He was reportedly working under a contractor hired by the railways, along wℱith three other workers.
His other fellow workers w𝔉ere safe, the official confirmed.
The derailment was caught on camera, with the footage showing locals panicking amidಌ the collapsing bogies.
An offic♎ial of Railway Police said 10 bogies derailed in th♍e incident and added that a rescue operation was underway.

Teams of railway police and fire brigade hav𒊎e arrived at the spot for the rescue operation.
"Iron sheet rolls were loaded in the goods train. Possible ca🐷sualty of a person on the track not ruled out," the official said.

Staff from local police alꦗso reached the spot to control the crowd and to maintain the law and order situation.
The situation is underᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ control, and the🔯 train services will resume once the railway procedures are completed.
Immediately following the event, fear spread among the residents living near the railwꦚay track.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Railways) KPS Malhotra said, "During inquiry from the co-workers and e🦂xamination of the accident site, prima facie no foul play has been noticed."
