Bengaluru FC's decision was expected after their latest defeat of the season against Mumbai City FC on Friday, December 8, 2023. Team owner Parth Jindal took to X (fomerly Twitter) to announce that "changes are coming" 𓂃before pulling the trigger on his head coach. As the club searches for Grayson's long-term replacement, former India captain Renedy Singh will take charge on an interim basis.
"This isn’t [Bengalu🔜ru FC] - changes are coming - we need to get back to where we belong - this is embarrassing. I’m sorry - this is beyond me - with this squad to play like this is not BওFC," wrote Jindal.
Bengaluru are ninth in the ISL 2023-24 table with one win in nine games. They are, however, fourth from th꧃e bottom, with Jamshedpur FC, Punjab FC, and Hyderabad FC all below them.
