The Last of Us Season 2🦹 first official trailer was unveiled by HBO on Saturday at the South by Southwest Film Festival (SXSW). The much-anticipated second season of the Emmy-winning post-apocalyptic drama series gave fans a sneak-peek to the new characters, dangerous world of monsters and violence and intense fight sequences.
The trailer of The Last of Us 2 𝐆begins with Ellie (Bella Ramsey) looking tense as she escapes from an abandoned building. A wild dog is seen in the background, and the scene shifts to a man’s watch on his arm and another clip of a mysterious graveyard with wooden crosses draped in with medallions.
Joel (Pedro Pascal🐽) and Ellie are seen trekking across a forest. He then asks Ellie is she is ''ok'', to which she replies, “Yeah,” though she looks troubled.
💫A few clips shows Joel in a house in Jackson, Wyoming, where he lived with Ellie for five years since the ending of the season 1. He is seen holding his brother's son Benjamin (Tommy’s son) on his lap and tells him, “This is where we live,'' pointing to a map and Benjamin asks, “What’s inside?” to which Joel replies, “People,” and there are scenes of Joel and Ellie playing the guitar and dancing with Dina.
ꦆWhen his nephew asks “What’s outside?” Joel says, “Monsters.” There are clips of monsters and explosions outside Jackson which gives an idea of what's coming next in the upcoming season.

The Last of Us Cast
Some new characters are introduced in the trailer. Abby (Kaitlyn Dever) and Jesse (Young Mazino), among others have joined the cast of new season of The Last of Us. ♛Other new cast include Isabela Merced as Dina, Tati Gabrielle as Nora, Ariela Barer as Mel, Danny Ramirez as Manny, Spencer Lord as Owen, and Jeffrey Wright as Isaac.
꧟Along with Pascal and Ramsey, Gabriel Luna is returning as Tommy, and Rutina Wesley as Maria.
𒉰Season 2 is set five years after the events of the first season, and Joel and Ellie will face new conflict with each other and the world will be more ominous and unpredictable than the one they left behind.
