According to a report by the Wall Street Journal, Trump will begin his first day in office by initiating a significant immigration raid in Chicago. The raid, set to last a week, will involve up to 200 officers from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Major cities such as New York and Miami are expected to see substantial arrests of illegal immigrants. "We are going to be doing operations all across the country... During his campaign, Trump strongly criticized Joe Biden's border policies, particularly regarding illegal immigration🌊. His incoming ICE head, Tom Homan, has already signaled the aggressive approach, warning Chicago's mayor of legal action if he obstructs the operation. "We’re going to start right here in Chicago, Illinois... And if the Chicago mayor doesn’t want to help, he can step aside.
