Allegations of land grab linked with death of an actor have surfaced against veteran Telugu actor Mohan Babu. A complainant named Chittimallu has filed a police complaint in Andhra Pradesh's Khammam district alleging that Mohan Babu is involved in the death of 'Soo✅ryavansham' actor Soundarya who had died in a plane crash in 2004.
According to reports the complainant's connection with the later a𒅌ctor is not known to the police and he has also requested for police protection as cited threat to his life.
Allegations Against Telugu Actor Mohan Babu
Chittimallu made the police complaint with the Khammam Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) and the District Officer where has accused Telugu actor Mohan Babu of pressuring Soundarya and her brother to sell six acres of land in a village in Sha𓂃mshabad, reported NDTV.
He further alleged that🍷 a major conflict rose between them and the siblings refused to 🥃sell the land and he added that after the death of the two, Mohan Babu grabbed the land forcibly.
As per police, the💖re hasn't been any FIRs registered in the case of the alleged illegal land possession.
Chittima♔llu𒆙 has urged for a fresh investigation in the case and to focus on the Telugu actor's role in the land possession while urging the state government to seize the concerned piece of land.
He also requested police prote♏ction citing threats t𝐆o his life.
Further he stated that there is rift betw꧂een Mohan Babu and his younger son Manchu Manoj over land poss🎉ession.
The family dispute had led Mohan Babu to assault a journalist in December 2024. The actor was booked on the charges o🌸f attempt to murder 💙after the journalist was admitted to a hospital.
The former Rajya Sabha member along with his elder son Manchu Vishnu termed the incident as unfortunate, said the injured TV journalist M Ranjith Kumar. "He (Mohan Babu) offered an apology to me, my🐎 family and the entire journalist fraternity," he had said.
In his complaint, the journalist had stated that when he visited Mohan Babu's Jalpally residence on December 10 to cov𒈔er the ongoing dispute between the actor and his youngerꦿ son Manoj, the senior actor confronted him and other journalists aggressively.
He allegedly grabbed the microphone, used "abusive an🎐d foul language," and "attacked" him with it, causing a head injury, the complainant stated.
Based on the complaint, a case under section 109 (attempt 💛to murder) of BNS was earlier registered against the actor at the Pahadishareef police station.
Who Is Soundarya?
Soun𝓡darya was a popular Kannada actor who is best known for playing the role of Radha in the 1999 Amita✨bh Bachchan-starrer 'Sooryavansham'.
Soundarya and her brother were travelling in a private jet to go to Karimnagar for a political event when it crashed and took both their lives on April 17,🦄 2004.
According to reports, the actor, 3𓃲1 was pregnant at the time of her deat🦄h.
After the crash, her body could not be found at 💖the site and the investig♛ation also halted over time.
