♏The world number two looked to be in cruise control for this last 16 tie, which was also a rematch of the 2023 Roland-Garros final.
🌊Muchova struggled with her game from the start of the first set, conceding two early breaks to Swiatek.
𓄧Having been able to land just 33% of her first serves in the opening stages, it allowed the Pole to surge into a 3-0 lead.
🅰Muchova didn't manage to hold serve until it was 4-1 and, with Swiatek winning eight of her next nine points afterwards, the first set was over inside 30 minutes.
♓Despite having the chance to reset in the second set, Muchova was no match for the flawless Swiatek.
🧔Muchova could only hold her serve once more in the set before Swiatek steamrollered her way past once again to make it 6-1 and seal a straightforward passage to the last eight.
🐭The match lasted just 52 minutes and Swiatek will face either Zheng Qinwen or Marta Kostyuk in the quarter-final as she goes for her third Indian Wells title.
