ꩲA collective batting performance led by Smriti Mandhana's half-century and Georgia Wareham's 10-ball 31 not out had taken RCB to 199/3 in 20 overs. Sneh Rana then picked up three crucial wickets to lead a clinical bowling effort as RCB restricted MI to 188/9.
The win helps the defending champions avoid the Wooden Spoon and finish at the penultimate spot with UP Warriorz sliding to the last position. The loss for MI means Delhi Capitals 💜get a direct entry to final thanks to their top-place league stage finish. MI will have to face Gujarat Giants for a place in the final.
ꦺ Earlier, MI captain Harmanpreet Kaur had won the toss and opted to field first. Below are the playing XIs of both the sides for the match.

ꦚBatting first, S Meghana gave RCB a flying start with a 13-ball 26. However, she was dismissed in just the fourth over. Ellyse Perry then joined Mandhana on the crease and the duo laid down a strong platform. Mandhana departed for 53 in the 12th over right after RCB had crossed 100. Perry could not find her rhythm but Richa Ghosh contributed with a 22-ball 36 to keep the run rate high.
🅠In the end, Georgia Wareham smashed 31 not out off just 10 balls to fire RCB to 199/3 in 20 overs. Perry finished not out at 49.
🧸The 200-run chase for MI was made hard by Sneh Rana's double blow as she dismissed both openers inside the powerplay. After that, MI just kept losing wickets and every RCB bowler who got the ball got at least a wicket as well. Rana picked up three while Kim Garth and Ellyse Perry got a couple of scalps to their names.
🤪For MI, the only saving grace was the in-form Nat Sciver Brunt who hit 69 off just 35 balls.
